Thanks guys. Usually there would be 2 or 3 feet of ice on the lake and several feet of snow on the ground this time of year, but its been an odd winter.

It's been a weird winter up here too. Haven't been able to get used to the cold this year because it just never stays very cold for long. To call -10C cold is just not normal for me but I'm feeling it this year.

I know just what you mean. Its 15F here now and it feels so much colder than that. The Malamute doesn't seem to notice though. Hes sitting in his chair on the deck right now keeping watch on the water.Big D wrote:It's been a weird winter up here too. Thanks Nancy!Nancy wrote:Michael,
Gorgeous photos! It's amazing that the lake isn't frozen. How deep is it near your shoreline?
Your baby is adorable!
Nancy

Its genltly sloping sand here, so it goes from inches at the shoreline to about 7 feet at the end of the dock. The dock is 65 feet long, so it takes a little distance to get to that depth. Its nice for swimming in the summer. You can't see it in my photos, but just beyond where the dog is it opens up and there is a firepit, gazebo, and a BBQ grill.
Looks like its gonna be warm again this week. I'm thinking we should be on target for 4/12 still.

My DH thinks you are a true optimist! I told him what you said about the 60 days and he rolled his eyes at me! lol! If it gets warm enough this week, maybe we'll go hunt for that engine plug (or whatever it was) that he dropped in the bilge while winterizing.Commissionpoint wrote:Looks like its gonna be warm again this week. I'm always looking on the bright side Nancy.
Yeh, I'm thinking we might want that brass plug huh? Dad keeps reminding me about that heater for under the stairs and the window locks too. Guess you'll have to get a box going for me.
