Ok you all know that I am the dummy that mounted the electric fuel pump to the deck support stringer . Now what do you think if I were to use rubber mounts to dampen the vibration sound. Do you think it could work harden the fuel line, and cause it to crack.
The fuel line feeding the pump is about 12 inch long coming from the filter,(that is also mounted hard to the same stringer). The output of the pump is a hard fuel line that can flex, and is mounted to the regulator, that is mounted hard to the engin. Any help
The rubber mounts should deaden the vibration off the stringer - rather than cause the line to break or fracture, which most likely WILL happen if you leave it mounted on that hard surface.
Thank’s Randy, The noise is not so bad under way, it is when you bring the engin back to idle it gets loud because of the bypass. I will be fixing the mounts today.
