Morning Gents (and ladies). I know I brought this up before but I have another question about new gauges. I know the new gauges accept the 161 wedge style bulb. My question is will the base of the original BA9S bulb (thats in the original wiring harness) fit into the new gauges. TADTOOMUCH replaced his with the Teleflex Heavy Duty ones but I was thinking of the Teleflex Lido or Sahara series which also come with an internal bulb (Heavy Duty series do not, perimeter lighting only) my other question is will this internal bulb be powered through the ignition wire or do I have to run a power wire directly to the "bulb" terminal?
This is the tach i'm talking about, any input would be appreciated.

Looking at the back of the gauge in the photo, it lists the "L" terminal for lamp, which will most likely need a power source to that terminal. You can supply power to it, from your instrument lighting source.

Thanks Jamie, I think i'm just going to cut off the original bulb base and put a ring connector on it and attach it to the 'lamp' terminal on the new gauge. Thanks for your response.
