I have the metal bars new pads
I don't know how the seats go together does anyone have a diagram for thEse fold down type seats?

The long metal bar on the seat attaches to the side of the boat. There's a separate elongated U shaped peice of tubing that fits into sockets in the bottom of the seat to support the side of the seat in the middle of the cockpit. To fold the seat down, remove the U shaped peice of tubing and the seat will swing down to lie flat against the side of the boat. The U shaped peice of tubing needs to be stored someplace else while the seat is folded down. I hope that helps.

I have a 1972 30' Sea Raider but assume the fold down seats are close to the same.......here's some pics, hope they help.........John

Mine are the same way.
