You will need to pick your route. No way you will see Big D and me in the same week (unless by car) - gotta head in different directions. I think Big ('King') D (won't say what the D stands for!!!) is on Lake Simcoe, so by boat you would have to head to Trenton first and up the Trent/Severn to get there. Need 4-5 days to get there from Toronto, plus time to return. I have done the Trent a few times - it is an AWESOME experience - you just gotta be ready for the locks, and deer flies. Ever dealt with flies that eat meat? These buggers do.
I am at Harbour West, or the old 'Hamilton Harbour Commissioners'. As a yacht club member, you may have reciprocal privileges at the RHYC (about 150 yards and a 3 minute walk from our driveway, or 20 seconds of you want climb over or around the fence), or MBYC (Macassa Bay Yacht Club - of which I am also a member - and a 10 minute walk from our driveway). FWIW - RHYC has a pool and shares their club house building with the local Chamber of Commerce; MBYC members are real people... (did that sound ike a shot?!?!?!?) While a MBYC club member, I don't keep the boat there for waiting list, and family history (I am in the same slip my father has held since 1978) reasons....
In any event, as time gets closer and if you make it this way, PM me so we can make sure we hook up.
Otherwise I may try to check in to your neighbourhood. Last year's summer vacation was a few days at Snug Harbour in Port Credit, then over to Pt. Dalhousie, and back home... HOPING to have a better summer this year!!!

Captainm is west of you, I'm way north. Two completely different routes and not achievable in your time frame. There are plans a-foot for this summer but keep in touch.Torcan wrote:Cool

I'm in TO periodically. Maybe I'll drop by the marina on a Sunday or so in the Summer. I'll PM you when I'm down there and have a chance to drop by. Is Rooferdave down your way too?

Same club, it would be great to see you. Have a drink in the club and just chit chat.Big D wrote:I'm in TO periodically. Maybe I'll drop by the marina on a Sunday or so in the Summer. I'll PM you when I'm down there and have a chance to drop by. Is Rooferdave down your way too?
