10 Meter Bunks

Post by jhalb »

Has anyone modified the sofa/bunk setup in a 10 Meter. The setup is not comforable as a couch but I like the flexability to turn into a dual bunk. I have seen pictures that redid it into a deeper couch. Just looking for ideas.

Mine has been converted to a couch and looks great(but is no longer a double bunk) I has enough width now to sleep one adult. I will take a pic at the boat tomorrow and post it along with the teak interior as some have asked me to.

The back is held to the boat with snaps and the bottom is on plywood which overhangs the couch base. The round hump on the bottom is very comfy. We are always fighting on who gets the couch.

Dana,
Never got to talk with you since I purchased your old swim platform. I got it installed after much hunting for the two brackets I needed. Bob at Beacon had two brackets that he modified for me as well has had the backing plates I needed. It was however very painful drilling all those holes in my transom. Anyway the platform looks great and I also put some nice lighting under it.....looks great at night! Thanks again, Bob

Bob and everyone else

Bob,
Glad to hear the platform worked out.

For everyone else, I will start a new post of the teak interior as well as the naugahyde, and corian treatment during the redo.
