I did my valve covers in crinkle black, as that was how they came and many small block from mopar were that way as well.

But it looks good and you are the man

After working on cars for the last 25 years the brighter the better as far as I am concerned. The blue makes finding leaks a lot easier. I like painting the intakes a cast iron grey. I wonder sometime is the manufactures paint the engine a dark color on purpose. The manifolds on my Chryslers 225 have the name embossed on them. I was thinking they would look good painted blue with the lettering painted white.

What's most important is that when you are zipping along, cutting through waves at 20 knots, people that see you won't really care what colour your engine components are painted... they will just appreciate how beautiful it is to see a classic back on the water. Git 'er dun dude!

OR, if colour is really important to you, why not candy apple red?

I agree with both! but if you are there??? we all like pritty and its just fun to see. It wont last long. Black I cant see SH$t_ blues, silvers, whites, golds, greys etc...you can see any leak from anywhere. besides color if its new? it wont be for long. you should learn what to look for!! IMO

yea I like different. If any of you saw my hydra-sport picture i posted on the post about "how many hours will you put on", you will see i like bright, colorfull, loud. i have dream catchers, flames, flying fish and a bull dolphin on the sides of her. she is my design and 1 of a kind. i am right now working on a design for the stearn artwork. the old name is ofcoarse is staying the same (bad luck to change i hear)but the lettering is going to be different along with some graphics.
