mine has 1 for each engine that looks like original equipment mounted forward on the bulk head. they are all rusted and i cant even get them apart. then there are 2 more mounted in the rear of the engine comp. those look new. like only a few years old. is it over kill to have 2 water sep. for each engine? i think it is.

If your fuel pump could handle it ( gas fuel pumps don't like restrictions )9rock wrote:I was told when putting 2 inline one 10 micron and one 20 if I have that rite he said dont put 2 10s in lineprowlersfish wrote:One per is the norm . 2 per is ok if run Parallel w/switching valve . 2 in series could be to restrictive for the fuel pump .

But if you did 2 it would be 20 micron then the 10 . don't forget you may have filter on the engine also . ( could be in the carb) . I am running a 30 micron racor 900 and a 10 ( I believe) on the engine . common set up on a diesel , also some times 2 off engine filters are used on a diesel .

I took my glass bowls of this week & installed new spin ons. My boat came with 3/8" copper lines with flare fittings. I had to replace the lines for more length. Replaced with new copper lines & flare fittings. Your rubber lines & hose clamps make me nervous. i don't think they're Coast Guard approved.
They'll pry a rotten plank from my cold dead fingers before i go "Tupperware". http://www.photobucket.com/restless
