Dash wiring help

Post by cagkam »

I have 1969 36' Sea Raider and I need help with rewiring my gauges and fuse box. I have installed new wiring harnesses to my engines and I have run the harnesses up my dash, now I need to know how I should wire my gauges and fuse box. I'm not an electrician, but with a little help I am sure I can finish the wiring. My ignition is already wired.

Also, I can't find my blowers...the wiring was removed by an electrical company that left without finishing the job and now I don't know where to look to find the blowers to hook them back up.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Blowers

Look on the outside of the boat for the air vents. Then go inside the bilge and look for long 3" or 4" hoses hanging in the bilge. Follow those upward along the hull sides and you should find the blower attached to them in the general area of where the outside vents are located. You will have two wires that attach to the blower. One will be black or red and the other white. The black or red is the positive 12 volt wire and the white is the negtive 12 volt wire. There will be a fuse near your electrical panel for the blower that should be labeled.
