When I splashed my boat a month ago, I noticed yellow fluid leaking from the helm. A little research on the internet showed me that this is pretty common; they don't make the H50 helm anymore; but you can still get the seals kit (about $30).
So I removed the helm from the boat, took it home, replaced the seals, and reinstalled it on the boat. I followed the purging instructions sent with the seal kit, and everything now works great. It's a little stiffer than before, but I have read this is normal and will loosen up over time.
At least one web site suggests this is a very complicated job, but as long as everything comes apart, it is really quite simple!
