318 Motor Mounts

New motor and tranny came with different mounts, Velvets can be swaped but my Old motor mounts are trashed, New ones are of a different angle and shape. I have measured the best I could but still unclear if I am able to Fill the old stringer holes with epoxy and go with the new off shaped/angled mounts in new drilled location. Or should I replace with the same I had before. I think Larry has an F-28, is it possible that the stringers are a different shape or thickness leading to a different mount design? Motor mounts dont look to be to cheap, but not super expensive, would just have to find them. Im ready to start building but need to get it on a proper bench that is setup like the boat, maybe someone has experenced using different mounts than they took out

jeff I just saw a set of those on ebay, not sure if there the ones your looking for or not but this guy had a bunch of trojan parts

think I found this guy Tman. The only motor mounts he has are the exact ones I need! 99$

no because the same night I was going to order them, someone from the site emailed me saying he had 2 I could have. Just waiting to see if the side that I need is his good one. Good people here behind the scenes!! Ebay guys is still for sale, I spoke to him too.

Jeff those look pretty good, I have another set on this old engine but don't think they are better than the ones on the engine I sent you.

The F28 has angle iron that bolts on the side of the stringers with bolts through the stringers and mounts into slots which gives a lot of adjustment.

received 2 perfectly good motor mounts in the mail today!!! Thanks again.... I can get this beast up on the stand now.... Another thank you card is in the mail. People here are great!!!!
