Thanks for posting the picture Heiner. I don't have a photobucket account yet, so I could only post the link. If you look at the sterns of the two boats on the outside of the main dock to the left, you can see the "wake" caused by the tidal current. At mid-tide, the current is running pretty strong and can be challenging.

Especially with the tide running hard. I have a small turning basin in front of the boat, and must swing it around and back in before I float back to the neighbor's dock. Not too bad, unless the wind is blowing hard.

It does give the people in back a show - as the diesels are loud and blow quite a bit of smoke as I spin it. :lol:
