A friend of mine runs a boat shop. 75% of his biz these days is fixing boats with problems caused by E-gas (good for him, because economy has reduced # of people paying to have new electronics, motors, etc. mounted). He charges $350 to drain and dry tanks and refill them with non-E-gas. He drains it into tanks, has it hauled by a professional disposal service, uses a wand hooked to a remote fuel pump to suck the last drops out, and then runs some sort of towel or rag in there to clean, then uses a Snap-On camera to look inside and get it all, then drys with nitrogen. The real cost to most of the 4-stroke OB guys is the injector rebuild/replacements.

Never went that far myself, but my fuel polishing system gets an amazing amount of crud out. I've given away (2) 50 gallon tanks of the junk (from my 26) that were too far gone to save to my lawn service guy over the past 3 years. No more for me. Not worth (to me, anyway) taking a chance offshore - and he burns it in his lawn mowers.
