Canvas Covers

Post by AuxiliaryComms »

So 'In-2-The Mystic' has snap all along the edge of the cockpit and windshield which I'm assuming used to secure either a cover or a canvas enclosure of some sorts.

Is there anywhere left where I could fnd these used or pre-made or is getting one a custom job?

Does anyone know if there were canvas enclosures for the Sea Raiders?

Your Sea Raider probably came with a vinyl winter cover. I know my F26 did because I still use it when it's stored for the winter. The snaps were for that. Are there any hooks on the transom? Mine has them, and they are for the loops on the back of the cover. You can get nice camper canvas for that boat, but get a few quotes. They can use the existing snaps for that, plus may have to add a few. Mine cost in the neighborhood of $600, which included side curtains, back curtains, "roof", wrap-around curtain for the cockpit windshield and side windows, and a cover for the front cabin window. I'm getting a new set made either this year or next as the ones I have are getting pretty worn. Go with Sunbrella and you can't go wrong. Like I said, get some quotes from as many people as you can. Check at your marina for good sources, and talk to some of the folks who have boats there.

Yep there are some hooks there. I had been trying to figure out if they were hooks or if something had corroded off.

We've also got a swim platform but all the brackets have corroded away.
