From someone owning the same boat, I can attest to that arch being close to 7' tall, if not more. Not sure why anyone would need it, also not sure that attributed much, but thats a tall arch.

This is the link to an preliminary analysis of the incident by several well known naval architects. Very interesting reading in light of the similarity of the subject boat to many of our Trojans.
