Ok, I am going to say it. I personally have no sympathy for this guy whatsoever. He made his bed, he now has to sleep in it.
Unfortunately, his entire family is going to also suffer for his stupidity.

I am very glad that he is safe, along with his family.
You can do whatever the hell you want with your life, but when you put others, and children at risk for your ego, you lose it for me.

But what he did, and the danger he put his kids and wife in, is unthinkable.
By his own words he admits to cutting corners and making decisions any sane and responsible person would not have.

By crying bankruptcy, I get the impression he his hoping to appeal to peoples emotions opening their wallets to bail him out of the mess he completely created.

Just like people who abuse pets, should never be allowed to have another pet. This guy should never be allowed to own or operate a boat again.
