FROM AARON.... WEEK THREE DONE. GOOD LAB REPORT :)
today ends week three, half way through, hopefully. got a good lab report this afternoon, both red and white blood counts look within norms, at least for now. cbc also shows good results. tumor 'appears' to be breaking down as confirmed by palpation. in fact, i was told that the 'area' looks clean, dry and infection free. (my routine is to lightly wash down the area with betadine surgical scrub twice a day, pat dry, then redress) absorption levels and elimination levels of kidneys, liver, spleen and pancreas show a positive trend (whatever the heck that means). so there you are folks. ever closer to ring the end of treatment bell! as i type this, the radiation fatigue is kicking in, possibly the pain meds too. i'm exhausted. so, i'm going to power down for the evening. night. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
That's good news Aaron, hang in there you're in my thoughts and prayers. Get plenty of rest. Glad to hear that you're infection free, I've been fighting a Staph infection in my Left elbow since early March and it's definitely not fun. Luckily the surgery I had on it 3 weeks ago seems to have taken care of it, now I just have to get my strength back.

matt, is it MRSA? if so, how do you think you might have picked it up? what is the protocol that you've been under? when they did surgery, did they extend the margins down and around so that good tissue was left as opposed to bad? as for the betadine, since dad was/is a surgeon, we not only had the betadine at the house, but we also had it on bubala3. when ever we handled wet lines or after working on the boat, it was SOP to wash, for 30 seconds, under the nails, and up to the wrists with betadine. just normal things on the bocknek boat. dr. herman did remark that there had been no change from monday to friday and that he was pleased as he did mondays exam as a baseline. nothing progressed and that's the way i intend it to be.MattSC wrote:That's good news Aaron, hang in there you're in my thoughts and prayers. actually what i'd love to do, from the bow of the boat, in the middle of the channel, is SOUND THE SHOFAR after my treatment. how symbolic would THAT be?RWS wrote:larryeddington wrote:You go guy and grab that gold ring.
