when i spoke to him yesterday i told him to take his time and for GODS SAKE, if he feels run down to stop. he was in a bad way, in hospital for a week and on 10liters of oxygen per day. he has to take respiratory therapy for a month because his lungs were so badly damaged. and he's not even a smoker! he thanked me for being patient, and my response to him was, ''ryan, in the grand scheme of things, especially with what is going on with me, it's no big deal. take your time, be careful, and all will get done when it's done.'' he said he'd never dealt with a client like that before. i'm only too happy that she's freshly painted and getting her 'new look' together. he's willing to work with me and vice versa. it's as simple as that.

PHIL'S EPIPHANY ON SATURDAY THE 18TH!

phil actually went down to the boat yard late yesterday evening to check out enterprise in her new clothes. it is also the first time he's ever seen her out of the water. i was there for about 2 hrs in the late morning and she looks even more impressive now that the final coat of wax and sealer have been applied.

he was standing at the bow looking up and remarked that the boat flaired out from the water line and got more broad as it went to the deck. yes, i said, common in most boat designs. as he walked around the boat, he kept asking questions, not easy when his way of describing things is different than mine. ''what's this tubular thing on the bottom'' the underwater exhaust i remarked. ''what are those bump like things near the keel (at least he knew keel---- breathe aaron, breathe. at least he's interested somewhat.... )
ahh, engine an a/c water intake scoops and if you look further out, you will see a round one with a bunch of holes, that's for the genset.
so, after my over the phone educational tour, he continued to keep me on the phone as ask what several vessels were....''that one over there (?) that's all white with black trim'' a 1972 concorde 41 double cabin. looks tough he said. they were. they were very heavy boats. ''hey, that one near the lift, it looks like a trojan but i don't recognize the design'' that phil is a trojan 11 meter sedan. he wanted to know why the hull looked so much different than the tri cabin and why it does not have a keel. as for the keel question, i have no clue. as for the flat chine, that's part of the delta conic hull design. he liked it for it's 'cool factor'. he'd never really taken the time to walk around a working boat yard before. he actually was interested. maybe he might come around after all.
enjoy your day folks.
