Yeah I am not sure the purpose of the one battery up there yet. There is already 2 batteries down below for the motors. The window covers will definately be coming off asap. I can see the original windows in place on the port side from inside the cabin but no glass starboard at all. We know that the side window covers are leaking in its present condition as the star board material was sealed with caulk that is now failing. The windows are a my wifes main issue on that boat and probably one of the first investments we will make on this boat after the canvas-gotta have some shade! Then some daylight!!
Cockpit area has a very slight soft spot right were you get off the ladder by the helm. My buddy the Captain say's its too minor to worry about. The rear deck is solid as a rock and also one slight small soft area starboard where the trunk meets deck, maybe from water sitting a while. Appears to be pretty good. Stringers all appear to be excellent. The marina had a nightwatchman staying next slip to this boat and he said the bilge pump barely ever came on and it was a dry boat. Pumps work fine and bilge is as dry as expected to be.
I have a fiberglass guy that I work with so I will have him come over and take care of everything when the time comes.

Ask and you shall receive, from my book-aaronbocknek wrote:well the youtube thing was a bust. could not find it anywhere. as for people not cleaning up their property before a sale, i can bend your ear for an hour at the condition and SMELL of some of the tri cabins i looked at before fining my little jem. unbelievable. and i know p-dogg can equally occupy your time at the saga he went through looking for his tri cabin. hopefully he'll chime in here.classicf25 wrote:Yes we can fit both boats at the dock so we can take our time to decide. I found a youtube video of the boat we bought when it was on ebay. Just go to youtube and search Trojan F30 Sportfish and it should come right up. The video was done by the guy who sold it to the guy we bought it from. The guy we bought it from only owned it 5 months. It will require a fair bit of work but we only have a little over $1000 into it at this point. I will get some current pictures but that video is only 6 months old, its just dirtier now. Never understood people who want to sell something but won't even clean what they are trying to sell. I could probably just give her a bath and make a profit!
hope to see more pics of a clean machine soon. again, my curiosity factor is up big time.

Introduced the same year as the very popular F-32 the F-30 Sport Fisherman’s ad campaign often made comments like “don’t laugh†or “she might look a little strange†when they talked about the boats profile. But they were also quick to point out that she looked this way because she was designed as a hard core fishing machine. A popular model the F30 Sport Cruiser was in production for 7 years. Nicknamed the “clean Machine†in most of the advertising and catalogs she is much better known as this than her “sport cruiser†model name towards the end.
Starting in the split level cockpit (82 square ft.) you move forward into the main cabin that boasts good headroom and an enclosed head to starboard. Directly to port you will find a small dinette with a settee to starboard. Forward of the dinette is a compact galley with a built in two burner electric stove.
The flybridge, which has seating for four gives the helmsman a commanding view of both the cockpit and points forward.

she's actually a pretty nice boat. as for the cabin window issue..... maybe portholes instead of full windows? i wonder if the original window track, frame is still there. the PO was disgusted with boating? why? did he go out and got caught in a squall? tell us more about the treasure trove of goodies you plucked from her.
