AARON'S DAD.... UPDATE

Post by aaronbocknek »

dad made it through surgery okay yesterday, but, it was delayed about 3hrs due to the previous procedure taking longer than planned. as he came out of the anesthesia, his blood pressure dropped to a point where his physician put him on some meds to raise it. he spent the night in the recovery area and later this morning was moved to his room. on the 21st he will be transferred to the live in orthopedic rehab facility in fairfax where he will be undergoing therapy for the next few weeks. he appreciates all your good wishes as do i. this is a pic of he and i on wes and pegs boat in st. michaels for the rendezvous a few years ago. he had such a great time meeting everyone and still talks about it. looking forward to actually going boating with him when he's better.
thanks again guys.

you know, i was just thinking. between his learning to walk on his new hip and my recovery from radiation, we make the perfect team. guys, this man means the world to me. he taught me a lot and for that i am thankful. he also taught me to not let the little things on the boat wear me out. take it one step at a time, think 'simple' first, then go more complex. i cannot wait to put a pic up here with the two of us onboard ENTERPRISE. hey paul and allen, and anyone else....... you're invited too!!!

Best to your dad, Aaron.

It was mine who got me into big water boating when I was a kid. Because of those memories, I'm now getting my son into it. I hope his best childhood memories will be aboard (or not far from) as mine were.

Sadly, my father passed at an early age and he's not here to enjoy Hart's Desire with me and my family, but...............he had said if he ever came back, he wanted to be a seagull. I could never figue out why (they are, after all, pretty much just flying rats) but it hit me recently that, other than the flying rats you see inland in the WalMart parking lot, the "good ones" are typically around some pretty kickass scenery.

Don't you think?
