New owner 10.8m international sedan
I am back as I now have taken ownership of a 1988 ,10.8 meter International here in Thunder Bay Ontario. I had looked at this vessel earlier in the spring when it was in Midland Ontario There apparently were some big issues presented to me by surveyor / repair company. Turns out that a friend of mine here bought it after I did not. Turns out there are no issues , the repair estimate inflated as boatyard too busy and did not want the job, so priced it way out of line.
i ended up with it after he decided to get out of the sport.
There are some things to do ,mostly cosmetics, She is wrapped and waiting for spring. I have striped some of the brightwork and will refinish at home over the winter.
Thanks for the help in the past and i will be asking questions as required. There are 2 of this vessel here , only 3 serial numbers out.
Cheers to all

Welcome aboard again D. Not that cold down my way yet but just a matter of time. Good to have another Meter Sedan owner around. I'm sure you'll be answering some questions also. Man we've got quite a few Canucks on here now, I like it. Look out, it's the new world order you know

She was a 1969 36 ft wooden beauty with big blue 440s that we'll miss forever.

Keep it up Paul. Do I need to post a pic of our Navy again as a reminder?

When I was a kid at camp, we were supposed to be having fun (like we are here). If two people weren't getting along, they'd be tied together with a rope. They'd eat, drink, crap, and bathe together until they got along, which didn't take very long. I often think of that when I see the tirades and thread high-jacking that go on here for no apparent reason -- "dock electrical" comes to mind.nope just a bunch of bullies..
Back on topic....
Congrats on the new boat D. I guess by saying that you are waiting for spring in Ontario, that you mean July? Good luck with your new boat. Bullies aside, most people who contribute to this site are a great resource. It's nice to have a dedicated bunch of guys to help support this great but orphaned brand.
I needed a less expensive hobby, so I bought a boat!
