"D" I thought of a pulley or even a small ragbag wench, but I'd like to keep the Engine on plus have a system that Michelle could handle if she needed to

Have you decided if the dinghy is going to mount vertical or horizontal yet?

favoring horizontal so far. Like the ideal hanging it from davits so far.

Going with hanging it...

I use Weaver mounts and a St. Croix crane.
You'll notice in the crane pic a block of wood on the rail next to the crane for the engine.
My 4'11" wife can hoist the engine up, attach it to the block, then hoist the dingy to the upright position in under 5 mins by herself.
The crane is light weight and comes apart in 2 pieces which can be stored very easily.
Personnaly, I could care less if someone can see my name or not. But someday I might put it on the bottom of the dingy

Those St. Croix cranes are nice .I use a similar crane to lift the out board to the back deck then ,I carry the Crane to the bow and lift the inflatable (mines a rib) . I made a new boom for the crane and put a electric winch on it , push the button and up it comes . I guess I am just getting lazy in my old age .

Well I thought I had my mind made up then, Michelle seen this on another site I was on really liked it. It's a 3207 that has lots of custom work done to her by the owner. The stairs, dock box and platform. So hanging the dink is out, And yes I try to keep her happy when it comes to the boat stuff that way she's involved and enjoys it more....when the war not all the battles..

that's what I start Monday...hopefully I can get the platform off and start cutting it for extending it. She likes that davit set up for her being able to launch the dink. And 'D' I'll be installing a pulley system to recover it.

any thoughts ?

if you know someone that has that set up try it before you buy one . You may find it harder to use then the video lets you believe .

Wait 'till she finds out they come with a cordless remote you can operate while you're still in the dinghy!

that'll cost more than my boat and I'd need 60" tabs to over come it !

Lifting/sliding dink up, I know the video shows how ez it is, but using 'D's thought of pulley's I'll come up with a back helper
