We are going to start staying on the boat more, in preparation in living aboard during the summer. Need to change out at least the forward head for now. I don't want vacumn. Want a elecric with maserator. The ones I have looked at online all seem to need a remote pump for some reason. Any of my prior boats didn't need one. I want one that will be rawwater and fresh water intake. I don't want the small low bowl either. Has anyone done this and what did you get?
Problem 2 is the tranny has to come out. Any hints or suggestions on removal? Have shaft between tranny and V Drive. Looks like pull shaft pull back on tranny and remove? Of course support rear on engine. I already have another tranny ready to go in.
Replacement head needed, any suggestions? Tranny removal?

I can give you info on a marine throne. I purchased a Marine Elegance on advice from this site. I have a fresh water option with a Smart Control Flush. Normal flush, water saver, water only, empty only. I ordered from Defender in Ct. I live in NY so it arrived the next day in two pieces, china bowl. A phone call to defender, and a new toilet was delivered the next day, and they arrainged p/u of broken one.
When they say, keep the Admiral happy, and your life will be good. They were right. Quiet flush, easy installation. Has a built in macerator, which allows you to use a 1 inch discharge hose or the old type inch and a half size. I do not have any regrets on this purchase. Well worth the 650.00.
They recommended 6ga wire to the control box. Upgraded to the best hoses so I don't have to worry about odor. Also regular height with a straight back.
Good luck

I've had one of these in my boat for the last 4 years. Looks and functions great and have had no problems with it.
