Window tracks for F boats

Post by larryeddington »

Beacons site shows "H" track that is used on F boats. My F-28 uses "E" Channel, what do yours actually have on the side windows?

I cannot find any place where "H" is used, could be for some stationary glass somewhere.

i can speak of the f32 i would think the f28 is the same?. for the side windows. the plastic H channel slides onto the glass itself. other words one side of the H has the glass in it the other side of the H slides on the metal track screwed to the boat. make sense? this is on each piece of side glass on the f32. the metal track screwed to the boat looks like the letter E.

Nope different on F28 it uses E channel, in other words the E is facing the glass so one can slide two pieces of glass by each other in seperate channels.

There is not H channel on my boat. I have new stuff in the shop now which is E. H apparently is not used on all f boats.

A PO may have removed the H channel to make the glass slide easier. :?:

If the PO did that he had no success as the windows are hard to slide. I would like to see a picture of how the H and E channels are used together.

As did I, must remove the external frame.

Not sure why this old thread came back up though.

They are referred to as E tracks, turn an E side wise and you ahve it.
