So whats this I keep hearing about a transom door and why does Tony keep asking me if I have any 28 inch chisel tooth chains I can spare???

If you're still willing to put some hard work in at your age, and can still perform a circus act in the bilge :wink: :lol: :lol: then it's not a big deal to do yourself. I've done it on a Chris Craft. The only red flag is that you must make up for it structurally. The one I did was probably over-kill but hey, no cracks yet! Glassed in a cross brace system. I love transom doors and if I had a glass boat, it would be one of the things on my list after the safety stuff.
