Awesome, I've watched it twice already. Thank you for sharing. I keep my boat just down the river from there.

Re: Now this is a Re-power
A very nice job until they used a PIPE WRENCH ON THE PROPELLER SHAFT NUTS!!! Not even a monkey wrench, a pipe wrench... And what about lapping the prop and the shaft? I'm glad I wasn't paying for it, but it is nice to see such a boat revitalized. And it's nice that it got TV airtime, in HD no less.
I needed a less expensive hobby, so I bought a boat!

Thanks for sharing Alexander
Very impressive movie, the beast looks funny at full speed - 53 feet !!
Our vessel is also staffed with two 6-inline turbo diesels 500 cbi, but build in '68.
Dreaming about repowering - how much was all that stuff and work ?

Greetings - Heiner

Re: Now this is a Re-power
Those engines according to a 2010 price sheet i found online were $62k each. I bet that cost another 20-30% for labor.

Re: Now this is a Re-power
Gregory Boat Company did the refit and if you look at the credits Scott Gregory is the owner of "Signature 1". The Hatteras used in the video. So you own the company make a video of the repower, call it an endorsement of the kind of work you perform at said company and write the whole thing off. Not a bad deal.
