Flush water
I can't use the sea cock for the head for flush water currently. Can I just dump water down it and hit the flush button or will that burn up the pump? Next question, could I temporarily plumb it on board water or would it not take the dock supply pressure?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Flush water
Yes to question number one.
Yes to number 2 also but be sure there is a check valve to water holding tank. I would restrict the water pressure at spigot first. You won't need a lot of pressure to use onboard..
It sounds like your head system is raw water and not fresh? If so, you would need a head that's plumbed for freshwater flush.

Re: Flush water
Yes it is raw water supplied - or supposed to be. So running the pump dry and dumping water down will not hurt the pump? The sea cock looks like it should not be touched at all!

Re: Flush water
Don't run the pump dry. Pour water in the bowl then flush...
In the winter time when my domestic water is winterized, we keep gallon jugs of water in the head. Just dump it in and flush...

Re: Flush water
what kind of toilet do you have. Some can run dry and others can't. Can you tee it into another through hull that works a little better?

Re: Flush water
According build sheet it is a Monomatic - Mansfield - electric flush. Does that help? Pretty green to this here.

Re: Flush water
The Mansfield vacuflush can run dry no problem. The Monomatic recirculating head has a pump that shouldn't be run with out water.
