spiders fresh water docks

Post by larryeddington »

Has anyone tried the product Suspend SC as a control of the many dock spiders in fresh waters?

I never tried that product.

I use Ortho Home Pest Control which seems to do a great job.

I spray it all over the boat from top to bottom - bow to stern, engine room, cabin, bilge, anchor locker, and dock lines.

Hate spiders.

I heard fabric softner sheets are supposed to keep the mice away. You just throw them in drawers and stuff.

We have a lot of raccoons @ my marina. I'm always fearful of them getting in the boat. One time, a coon chased me down the dock!!

We have lots of animals here. Its just part of life.

No coolers with food or empty food and beverage containers on the cockpit deck. No trash either. Unless of course you want a visit from a black bear.

I don't mind a few spiders. They do an excellent job helping to control other pests.

Now whats all this about dryer sheets? Aside from laundry all I know they are good for has something to do with college dorm life and wacky tebacky.

Under coon attack make them a football, just the right size. I have always seen them flee unless you get it cornered. I can see on a dock how that could happen. They can swim according to my research. My lady does not like spiders so that means I cannot like them either and need to banish them.
