exhaust manifold temperature
One of my exhaust manifolds is running much hotter than the other. Is it safe to connect a garden hose where I put the arrow in the picture to flush the exhaust and riser? Is it ok to do this without the engine running or is there a risk of water getting into the exhaust ports?

DON"T DO IT. You are correct, there is a risk of water ingestion. Better to remove the manifold if you want to try flushing it.

Re: exhaust manifold temperature
You have to rig a way to recirculate it . Its a lot safer then many acids . but still us caution .
