10 Meter mid cabin questions

Post by koviak »

Just purchased a 1989 10 meter mid cabin this week, exellent shape. Some of the push button switches on dash stick, is any one selling replacements? Also where is the switch located for the engine room lights?
On the arch there are buttons securing the covering, some of these are missing. Do these just push on or are there screws? And last, the bow pulpit teak has lifted, is this a cored pulpit or solid glass? Just signed up today and I am looking forward to finding all info. I can.

Welcome to the Forum. You have an excepttionally designed and well built vessel.

The switches should be available from the sponsor of this site, BEacon MArine or from John Leed at MarineTech in Lancaster, PA.

Although yours may be different, on my 1983 10 meter express cruiser, the re is a bank of three toggle switches in the cockpit, just to the right of the sliding door and left of the helm. Fwd cockpit light, rear cockpit lights and engine room light.

The decorative plastic "buttons" on the arch simply push on and fit into a second plastic button that is fastened under the screw. These come in a variety of sizes and are available an any chandlery.

THe bow pulpit on my 1983 International is cored.

Welcome to the world of the Trojan International Series. You may or may not realize it but your vessel is very unique, versitile and has tremendous seakeeping ability.

RWS, Thanks for the response. The switches you describe at the side of the helm are as stated. Bulbs are likely bad below deck. The other switches I am looking for are in the dahboard. These are not rocker style switches but pushbuttons (5/8" dia. rubber top)(push on, push off).
I think they came out with this style in 1989 and up models when Bertram took over. Thanks for the hull info., I am well aware of this deltaconic hull form. My father worked part time at a dealer for Trojan from 1974 to 1984 when they first came out. Being a young boat bum this was my candy store back then.
