This is getting old. River getting close to normal then BAM a bunch of rain in Iowa and up it goes. Have put my trip up the river off for a month now. Nothing to do but wait!

I agree. We took a short trip to Grafton on Sunday then walked to the Loading Dock. We planned to spend some time on the river next week but the water might be over the entrance road again. Is the Boat House staying open?

I would think so. I just helped Rich remove the dock and walkway next to our boat on Saturday too! Guess he will put it back. We too were out playing Sunday. Guess that won't happen this weekend!

Seems to me it is better than no or very low water.

Ahhh - have some fond memories of the Loading Dock ... ski all day in Alton pool and cool off with some good music, appetizers and a few cold Margaritas at the Loading Dock (maybe some Fast Eddies on the drive home, if you could find a place to park) ... :D

Would have liked to check out the Loading Dock. At this point once the water co-operates I am headed North! Really wanted to have a couple weekends to check out the area. I have to say it may be the best area on the Mississippi! I alway thought Pool 10 was my favorite but Pool 26 is very cool!
