Perhaps the breaker is weak or the wrong size , I say wrong size because mine was not the resettable type it was a auto reset and yours may have been changed . or just getting weak or the years . can you put a amp meter in the pump and check the draw ?

They show a 20 amp fuse for the trim pumps on the boat leveler site so amp draw souls be less then that . Check the voltage also low voltage can cause high amp draw .

I seem to recall the red reset button having "15" on it, for what that's worth.

Boat Levelers has had standing a reduced price recall on their trim switches. They are exchanging the old rocker style for sealed units, "for a reduced price". According to what they talked to me about when a switch would hang the tab would cycle all one way or other and could burn out the actuator solenoid in the pump housing. My boat had a bad solenoid and interesting enough PO or someone had removed the upper set of rocker switches.

Your issue may be the onset of such a problem which is intermittent now but might get worse.

Thanks for that, Larry. I'll pass that on to my mechanic. I DO have rockers switches at both helms; I'm assuming they are original. And it does sound while the tabs are actuating that they are struggling with power. It's not a smooth-sounding process.
