10 METER VELVET DRIVE

Post by chautauqualake10meter »

Hey Gang! Happy Summer! My 10 meter FINALLY went in the water mid June after the new AC unit retrofit was done......(i'm a procrastinator!) my first ride of the year my port side transmission "locked" in forward and won't come out....i'm being told it has gone into a "limp home mode" and that the clutch is "stuck" in forward. the Marina claims they cant get to it until mis august so I have had one of my employees R&R it. ( I own a few auto dealerships so this isn't an issue to have my guys work on it.) I was curious to know if anyone could chime in and give some pointers on this job. especially the R&R... he seemed to have a tough time getting it out.... any pointers on the rebuild? where i can find an online manual? and best ways to reinstall........

Send me your email in a pm and I will send you a manual . there is not limp mode on this gear . Most likely the clutches started slipping and welded them selves together . Easy gear to overhaul if you have any trans experience .
