Hi folks......
has anyone redone the panels which hold the coaming boxes in an F32 cockpit?
?
I've removed the panels and redone all the teak, cleaned and redone the coaming boxes but am stuck on the panels themselves.
I went to a couple of hardware stores looking for a similar material and have not found it all and so thinking of just re-sanding the old one to remove stains and other crap and then repainting the panels prior to reassembling them and re-installing but wondering what paint would be best cause I can't divine what exactly the surface material is....
cheers
G

I don't have any pics of mine but I used 1/4" cherry plywood. I put maybe 6 coats of Epiphane high gloss on them and they look awesome. Cherry looks very close to the teak borders.
