yep. did it again. my buddy jerry from the other side of the marina came with me to just be along for the ride. ENTERPRISE with a full fuel tank loves just about 2800 and 16mph. we got her up on plane for a bit, then throttled back to visit seneca creek then back. about 1.5hrs in total. coming back to the slip, same as last week only jerry didn't do a thing. he was hands off. and yep, i did it myself. i find that the more i do by myself, the easier it is as i have a system in prepping the boat for departure, getting her out of the slip and returning. i put the side and aft canvas back up in record time. so, if i'm going to be solo in this adventure, i might as well get good at it. pics to follow. hopefully this will be a weekly event. i like going out mid week when the idiots are at work. makes cruising so much more comfortable.
like i said, pics to follow. i have a feeling you guys just unleashed my inner kid again!! about time too!!
and yes, once i got in and everything was hooked up, i opened the engine hatch and thanked the 'ladies' for a good cruise.

jamie oh nooooooo no, i did not mean that in any way.... what i meant were the folks, who, oh i don't know, vent their bilges after fueling up? i my god, please PLEASE do not take it the wrong way...... and for the record, i do work weekdays as part of a trip that folds in from the weekends. like the trip i few sat sun mon tues. and the trip i will be flying fri sat sun mon.
it is nice though going out on the weekdays when there is not a lot of 'traffic'. again guys, please, i meant not to insult anyone. i was just really excited that i was able to handle her all by myself again. this is a big deal for me. i just wanted to share.

I now what you mean Aaron! Just having a little fun with your story. I and everyone else completely understand what you meant.
We call the folks you're referring to, Googans...or Weekend Warriors!

Yes Aaron, and that habit...has a way of turning us boaters, into addicts of the sea.aaronbocknek wrote:i just didn't want anyone to take it the wrong way.... i have to tell ya jamie, i'm pretty stoked about today's second solo. this could become habit forming!!
