F-32 with Yanmar Turbodiesels - Performer?

I'm not a F series owner, but have learned a great deal about them here and elsewhere.

This vessel with the 315 HP Yanmars should be quite the performer, and economical as well.

Although there aren't nearly enough photos, this vessel seems to me to be a really good value.

This is a great deal @ $50k. Wish I was in the market, but I already have 4 boats (one is a diesel F32.).

The 2x315HP is great, but might even be a bit overpowered. It should run great in calm seas, but could be a handful for a novice in medium to heavy seas. With the right props, top speed should be 35 knots!

Bottom line - best F32 value on the market today ...

Owners says "when I just put her back in after new bottom, 26.2 kts, props are 18's I think, handles very well. solid boat, thanks".

Nice boat ... wish I had more dock space!

I've seen this on other F-32's but why is part of the boot stripe missing on the side of boat? Did fuel vents overflow disolve them?

Funny - I wondered the same thing on the stripes ...

As far as speed, the quote is what he said - I think that was top speed - sounds slow ... sounds like he could easily turn more pitch ...

if that is top speed - it is real slow. Mine tops out at around 24 knots but I'm only running twin 200's or 400 hp total. I'd expect a 26 knot cruise with 630 hp.

Might be comparing apples to oranges but my F30 with 660HP (330X2) tops out at about 28kts.....WOT......................John

Twin Yanmar 315hp 6 cyl turbodiesels

4 blade - 20x20 props

27.1 knots WOT with full water and fuel

Engines do make required RPM at 4100 and 4050 respectively

Maybe that F32 is a slow for 315hp becuse it has 250hp max hp (x2) ?

BINGO! you are correct- His ebay listing says the engines are the 6LP-DTE which are the 250 hp versions not the 315HP (6LPA-STP/STZ) versions.

I don't know where the 315 HP figure came from...I just thought the speed was WAY off on that boat with that kind of power. It still seems a little off seeing I get 24 knots out of 400 hp... I would think an extra 100 hp would get a little better than 2 knots but that could be explained by prop/gearing.

RWS- Your international has a very different bottom than the F-32. For your hull form, at that weight and RPM, your engines are in a real happy zone. Their certainly not being overworked. You could probably get a little more (safely) with different props but why bother unless your unhappy? Your setup is just about text book perfect.... it should serve you well for years.

Good catch on the 250HP ...

250HP is plenty.

I max at 28 knots with 2x225HP Cummins 6BTA5.9's, 1:1 and 17x20 props.

Still a very nice boat (not the cleanest bilge, but nice).
