plastic fittings

Post by duchess »

Has anyone found plastic fittings which match or can be used for the plastic water tubing in our Trojans? The original manufactorer is out of business.

I have no idea if pex fittings would work I m really hoping to find someone that had actually found a substitute that works by replacing the old plastic fittings with new ones.

I have used regular brass compression fittings on my 1977 plastic plumbing on the water heater lines.

i tend to agree with wowzer.... go to the rv store if you have one in your area. i have a huge one here in the baltimore/golden ring/middle river area and i have gotten a ton of things there that work just fine.
if you want their web address, just let me know.

I found the best places to be local hardware store (convenient) and either Lowes or HD (bigger selection, price and location near boat) It's crazy buying PVC tubing, tees, connectors, etc from marine supply houses. Another good source for some hard-to-find fitting are laboratory supply houses.
