Looking for hatch gasket material

Post by AndyF32 »

I am looking for the hatch gasket material for a 1985 F32. It looks like it was an approx 1 inch X 1 inch foam type gasket.
Thanks

I got mine at the local hardware store, Lowes, Home Depot, any size you want.

gasket material

Post by Dan Faith »

I replaced all my gaskets on my 1983 F32. I used closed cell material
1" X 1" I purchased this from McMaster Carr.
http://www.mcmaster.com/ It came in a roll with adhesive already on it and was very easy to install, took off the hatch, marked old material location cleaned and installed. I insured the forward piece went from end to end, did not want a joint facing forward (waves over deck could possibly leak. Had it out in some rough weather this year and not a drop.
I also redid my large hatch in the back with a gasket that fit over the lip I purchased this also from McMaster. After a great deal of searching I found they carried more items that would work in this area.

I replaced my F-32 gaskets a few years ago. I ordered it from Marine Tech in Pa.
