Inverter for 1971 F-36

Post by fdean396 »

I'm considering installing an inverter in my F 36. Not much room for batteries and not sure where they could be installed. Any thoughts? AGM batteries versus golf cart? Inverter recommendations? What should I budget for for totals costs?

Not looking to run anything requiring too much power. Like to run low voltage appliances like a tv, laptop and especially my CPAP machine at night which would surely be appreciated by others due to my snoring.

AGM vs Golf cart?
AGM come in 6V also so there is no difference there.
I would go the 6V route as they are easier to handle. If that is all you need to run then around 220 AmpHr should do you well. Sounds like a 2000W inverter would do the job.
$700 for batteries, Inverter and cables might be a good estimate.....
Try to keep the cable run from battery to Inverter as short as possible so you can keep that cable size down to conserve dollars.
