My 73 6.5 Onan (spec C) is giving me fits. The main contactor has gone bad. The Genny runs and puts out AC on the genny side of the contactor but it does not "pull in". If I pull it in manually, I get AC to the electrical pannel.
Onan does not have them anymore. The cross ref # is over $250. So I was wondering if anyone has a dead 6.5 laying around that you could salvage a part of out it?

Re: 6.5 Onan Spec C Genny issues
I have the Onan 6.5 that I bought for parts to be sure I can keep mine running. The engine is locked up but other parts should be good. I bought the scrap genny for 200 plus 100 shipping as a parts piece. I may have what you are looking for but cannot provide for free. Send me a picture of what you are looking for and will work a deal via beacon marine web if it is right part. Not trying to profit just break even and be helpful.
