installation of new vacuflush

Post by kboette1 »

I have a 1988 F-36 Model 460. I am still suffering with the original head with a 9.7 gallon capacity. I decided to go for the best with a vacuflush. Now the big question was where to put the tank. I decided to get the all in one model 28 gallon with vacuum generator, filter, overboard discharge pump and all. The best place was looking like under the galley, but after further investigation it would be too difficult to access it. I then decided to replace the hot water heater and install the new on under the galley sink. I then needed to move the massive tangle of water lines and the water pump to another location. During this whole ordeal I learned from my boat neighbor a great place to cut the galley floor and allow access to the water tanks etc. So much better than crawling through the stairs to access vital systems. So here are a few pics of the progress so far. I hope to complete it this weekend.
