I lifted the entire aft deck to work on some bulkhead and rudder board issues. I noticed that there is a nice flat area right below forward of the lazarette hatch. I am curious what others are doing with that are in terms of storage or stashing equipment.
I was thinking of attaching a few pieces of ply on the sides to keep things from falling towards the beam and stashing some spare rope and fenders that I need to use on rare occasions.
Also, my previous boat had a molded insert that fit in the lazarette that acted as a storage compartment (actually, I think it was a live-well at one point). This is where I stashed cleaning supplies etc. I could easily life it out if I needed access to the steering gear. I am curious of the Trojans had anything like this.

Re: Lazarette Storage Options
Have flat shelf with side rails, storage for BBQ and stand, lines, extra Life jackets (have 10 but just wife and I 95% of time) and cleaning supplies.
Season is short, we make the best of it.
