84 Tri-cabin unknown device (sensor I think)
Working on The Phoenix II today, while tracing wiring I stumbled up on a device I have no idea what it is. It appears to be a small solenoid about 1 inch in diameter mounted behind the cabinet above the refrigerator. It has a white pipe (maybe 1/2 inch outside diameter) going down to who knows where, it has a clear small flexible tube going up (1/8 OD) going up to again who knows where. Sorry I did not take picture today but will next week if no one can identify.

On my boat it is the windshield washer pump.

yep. that's what it is. larry, if you go into the bilge, look behind the genny. you will see the pex pipe tied into the water supply. at least that's how it's installed on my boat. i've disabled the thing. don't see the need for it, not now anyway.Allen Sr wrote:On my boat it is the windshield washer pump.

Funny... I had a conversation last weekend about why boats don't have such lousy wipers and no washer...Allen Sr wrote:On my boat it is the windshield washer pump.

yep that makes sense, not needed on the phoenix as no wipers I guess removed, motors etc, by a PO I assume, but missed this pump. Thanks that is absolutely what it is.
Anyone have a picture of how the wipers look and mount?
