The Phoenix II

Post by larryeddington »

What a great day we pressurized with city water pressure and all systems worked. Had to install a new pressure switch and filled the tank, success though pressure is not what I want will work on that, at least all water accessories are working. :D

it's always good when life returns to the boat. next up for me is a replacement shore water hookup. at least for now, things are status quo.

boat originally had a y valve for black water but apparently it has been removed and uses two macerator transfer pumps, which bot are running to move effluent to central storage holding tank. The boat has a water heater but says 2.5 gal I think it may be on demand. In any case made hot water. Will have to check on its specifications, if not sufficient will replace with largest available an have engine heat option, although on a 90 mile long lake can always return to covered dock and have a shower there. While removing one of the carbies I failed to disconnect the bimetallic spring for the choke and apparently damaged it. Now the choke stays clamped closed, so need a new one and while at it will replace both. I have Crusaders 270s does anyone know where to get the bi-metallic choke assemblies? I found them but $49 each I thought was spendy for a simple piece.
