And their action put our lives
and our insurance premiums
at risk.

Everybody who pays for insurance pays more because of stupid boaters.
I needed a less expensive hobby, so I bought a boat!

We are in Naval Station, Great Lakes just south of Waukegan and we were out that day. Fog was dense so I am not surprised they came to grief. I am not bothered by it as I have spent many years sailing around the British Isles where it's far more common. I have radar, chart-plotter, GPS and some common sense. What scares me is the idiots out there. A few years ago we were off Zion Nuclear plant in a real pea souper. I could hear a cigarette type boat at high speed running back and forth. Watched him on the radar, he must have been going 60 plus. That person should have been put in jail and his boat taken away.
