12 Meter International - What part is this?

Post by tcollins2 »

I found this in the bilge of my 12 Meter. Since it's pre-bent it might be a floor support? But I can't figure out where it goes or how to install it.
Anyone know? It's 1/2 stainless that is symmetrically bent and it has two bolts welded on the ends for attaching it to something. The previous owner took out the gas motors and installed diesels, so I'm guessing it was in the way at some point and it was never re-installed.

Looks like something homemade , not a oem Trojan part . In my opinion anyway .

Hard to tell from how small the pictures are, but any chance it used to be a tie rod between the rudder posts and was replaced when the repower was done?
