Does anyone know how the speakers are wired. The factory wiring is in place but the stereo was replaced and there's a mess of splices and only the speakers above the dinette work. I replaced the two by the driver and passenger front seats but only got one to work. The driver side had a black/white 2 wire, the same one that's behind the stereo but had an additional thin black 2 wire connected to it which I assume is a common to the passenger side speaker or goes elsewhere but there are no more speakers. When I connected the factory black/white wires only the speaker worked but it won't work the way it was hooked up when I took it out to replace it. The passenger side only has the black/white wire and won't work. The factory splices coming in behind the stereo is what has me confounded. They are even labeled Aft, Forward and Dinette but I don't get this. I may just wind up rewiring the whole thing. I don't want forward berth speakers, only salon and cockpit/driver area.
Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Re: 10 Meter express stereo wiring
On my 12 meter flybridge all the wires were numbered and they all went through wall mount volume controls. There was also a toggle between the flybridge and salon. I ended up having to tone and trace them all, then I eliminated the volume controls and the toggle switch. A good toner will go a long way in your search. I also had a small single black wire that was a power trigger that showed the ignition was on. Not sure if any of that helped. Good luck digging.

Re: 10 Meter express stereo wiring
As a matter of fact it does help me. I forgot about those volume control knobs. I have one in the dinette and 1 at the console. That would probably explain why I can't figure out the wiring it's probably going through them also. I think you just made up my mind to rewire everything. Thanks for the help

That is often the best choice.....rewire everything
I needed a less expensive hobby, so I bought a boat!

Re: 10 Meter express stereo wiring
This is how the boat was numbered originally. The changes in number happen in between the toggle, volume knob, etc.
