Hi Gents, Just purchase an F32 with non working trim tabs, We want to use it for the couple of weeks will take for the spares to arrive (Venezuela). Need advise on what position should set the tabs full down, full up or any position between ? Is an 1981 F32 with 2 Perkins T6.354.4. Im pretty sure will be asking a lot of questions in the future.
Best regards..

Re: Inop trim tabs
You shouls be fine without the tabs until you get your parts . Don't think you would us full tabs vey often if at all . What HP are your Perkins ?
Perhaps some of the F32Owners will chime in on tab use .

They are 240 HP, the boat is going to the water next week its out for bottom paint. The tabs look small for that boat thats why we want to
run it without power trim to see if we really need to fixit.

Re: Inop trim tabs
I think that you should leave the tabs up all the way , then you will avoid the following sea wallow with the tabs down.....Twin 260 hp and I use maybe full tabs to get it on plane then trim from there, but only because they are there for that only.......until you can repair then leave them up, probably safer.
Re: Inop trim tabs
Are they both in same position? Also consider drag when backing.
