76 F32 Port side/ house battery problem

Post by The Dockside »

I just went to my boat this weekend after a thunderstorm. I have no power to my port side engine. That battery is also my house battery. I replaced the battery thinking that was the problem, it wasn't. I checked the electrical panel and everything seems fine.

I was just today tracing out my battery switch and associated wiring. I would suspect a fusible link, breaker or the like. I found a couple I didn't know I had in the line. On a rare occasion, the battery switch itself has been known to fail. Time to break out the test light.

I agree, time to break out the volt meter. Could be a circuit protection device or a bad connection like a ground.
