We got the courage to take our boat out after our "sea trial" 6 weeks ago. We got a copy of the owners manual from Beacon Marine which really helped us know what we were dealing with (well worth the money and great customer service).
We did about 50 miles on Friday and 60 on Sunday. We ran at 2500-3000 the whole time. The Crusader 454s ran great and burned up that old gas real quick! We learned a lot and didn't smash any docks too badly.
We've heard nothing but good from others at the marina regarding Trojan quality; after spending time on it, we see why.
Now that I know more I'm feeling like I can ask somewhat intelligent questions. Thanks to everyone who responded to my original post!
We took her out!
